Parents-students Day Out 2010
>> Friday, 26 February 2010
In conjunction with Graduation Ceremony of Class of 2010 Russian State Medical University, Parents Committee have came out with an idea of organizing a Parents-students Day Out tour programme which will include several exciting places and tourist spots in Moscow and also to Vladimir crystal market
Programme Objectives:
- To provide transportation for parents to visit some exciting places and tourists spots in Moscow.
- To make this programme as fun and hassle free for each of the participant.
Programme method:
The programme will include 4 parts.
- Part 1 - Kremlin, Red Square, St. Basil, GUM, Ohotni Ryad shopping complex
- Part 2 - Izmailovsky Tourist market, Arbatskaya, Metro tour
- Part 3 - A short tour of our Russian State Medical University building
- Part 4 - A trip to Vladimir crystal market
- For Part 1 and Part 2 ( Kremlin, Red Square, Izmailovsky market etc.), a few rented buses will go to the listed locations and drop the participants there respectively. After a given set of time constrain, participants will gather at a certain place and will either head back or go to different places of interest (depends on time availability and request from participants).
- For Part 3 ( RSMU main building tour), we will go to the RSMU main building by bus DIRECTLY AFTER the graduation ceremony which will be held in soon-to-be-decided hall. So, the bus which will bring parents and students to the graduation ceremony venue will be asked to go the RSMU directly from the venue itself after the ceremony.
- For Part 4 ( Vladimir crystal market), a trip to the market will take approximately one day – estimated from 4 am to 6 pm. A long journey is expected due to the location of the market which is located outside Moscow.
**Please take note that all these 4 parts are not related to each other, which means participants can choose to join only the trip that is preferred according to your travel plan.

Questions and Answers
Where is the pick up pointfor the programme?
As for now, majority of the students still haven’t decide yet where their parents or guests will stay during their visit to Moscow. Therefore, we will decide one or maximum two pick up points in the place where most of the participants will stay.
How much will it cost per person?
The price will be decided later when we have confirmed number of participants.
The price will cover only transportation (bus) and will not include other type of fees or tickets, for example Metro ticket or entrance fee to Kremlin.
Is there any qualified tourist guide to join us?
If there are many requests for participants, we will try to search for any qualified tourist guide.
Are we going to other places like Park Pobedi, VDNH or Cathedral of Christ the Saviour?
It depends on requests from participants and also time availability. It is expected that we can go to one more place after Part 1 ( Kremlin, Red Square etc. ) but it’s depends also on the cooperation from the bus driver.
I already bought the tickets for my parents, and they are arriving after 26th June. what should i do?
don't panic just yet. these are only suggested itinerary. the plan will be altered according to the number of people who are joining. it all depends on whether we have enough people to fill a bus. if many parents are coming later, we will consider rearranging the tours accordingly.
What about St. Petersburg?
Unfortunately, our tours are only within Moscow territory
But if you want our opinion, we suggest that you leave for St. Pete the night after the graduation (that is, if you’re not going to the crystal bazaar the next day).
If you plan to go to the crystal market as well as St. Pete, then we suggest that you add another day to the trip. (One week for Moscow+Vladimir+St. Pete could be tiresome, especially for our parents.)
I'm interested to join this programme, what should I do?
Plan your parent’s flight to Moscow to arrive before26th June 2010, Saturday.
Register by giving the list of name of the participants to any member of Parents Committee. (This should be done when registration process is open)
Pay the transportation fees. ( Will be announced later )
Enjoy your time in Moscow with your family.
